Lingerie is more than just laces and soft cottons, it’s a symbol of sensuality and playing with the senses. One of the main goals of lingerie is to make the beholder feel beautiful and sexy.
Awaken the Dark Side
When trying to get in touch with your most sensual aspects, it can be kind of tough, as there are so many avenues on where to start and directions to take. For me when I first started tapping into my more sensual side I started with what I wore. I would ask myself questions, like what makes me feel good when I’m in it? What do I want to see when I look at myself? What makes me feel confident and secure?
The immediate answer that came to mind was lingerie. Seeing on social media or in a magazine a beautiful woman in lingerie and seeing how sure of herself she looked spoke to me. It made me curious and want to know how I could gain that level of appeal not just for the male gaze but for myself.
Exploration
I remember the first piece of lingerie I purchased, it was a pink bra and pink bikini bottoms with fuchsia colored bows in the middle of both parts with lace patterns. I felt so feminine when I put it on and looked at myself in the mirror. I remember thinking this is how I should feel all the time from when I’m inside the house to when I step out of it.
I learned the different types of fabric that went well with my skin, which designs I loved and hated, almost like lace, silk, and satin became my best friends. I wore sarongs, and cute night gowns for when it was time to go to bed, and when I woke up, I noticed I felt sexier and cuter by the minute.
As time passed and I really started to figure out what I wanted to do with my life, I realized I wanted to showcase and teach other women how to feel beautiful, sexy, sensual, and alluring through means of healing, lingerie, self-care, and self-love.
