Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.
I used to own these beautiful red bumps that had a bow on the back of them and you would tie it up to the ankles. I used to love those pair of heels so much because I always felt the sexiest in them especially when I would wear them out and strut the streets, on occasion of course.
The last place I remember wearing them was when I was at this big time corporate job I had in downtown Houston. I was only a temp there but I loved it nonetheless. I can remember it like it was yesterday, I had to take two elevators to get to the 65th that it was on and would great the bellmen as I went. I felt like I big shot, going through security doors and taking occasional pictures on the way up the elevator if I was alone or in the bathroom on my break and admire my attire for the day.
One day in particular was my favorite, it was pay week and it was cold outside, I had on a checker trench coat, silk top and I believe black skirt with the red heels to match and my hair was slicked back in a bun. I had my makeup on the day and perfume, not entirely sure if I smelt amazing or not but I felt amazing. And I remember the occasional looks I would get going through the crowd during rush out to get to the elevator as people admired my attire and I felt fabulous! It’s one of the best memories I have to date in those big red heels.
They are long gone now, but I feel like every woman should have one pair of heels that makes them feel beautiful and like a movie star walking in them as if they were strutting the runway. And I hope you get your pair too!
