Sensual body movement is all about going with the flow and tapping into that inner feminine and inner healing and peace you may have never known. It’s about expressing yourself in ways you may have been prevented from an exploring you on a more intimate level.
When I think of body movement I think of something subtle and delicate. A beautiful form of self expression where your body does the talking just like dancing, except your a little bit more fluid and going with the flow of the universe and what you’re body is telling you not necessarily a technique or a script you have to play out but going with what you’re body is asking you to do. It’s an amazing feeling when you can listen to your body and you know it’s listening back, that feeling of oneness is unmatched.
There are not necessarily techniques when it comes to sensual body movement but more so just feeling your way around your body is curvy circular motions or movements and playing your favorite slow song and letting your body guide you into what it wants to do next like your a river or a rage of running water. It’s a soothing feeling and one that can help you relax and dive deep into your femininity by feeling your way around yourself. You’re not forcing anything but letting whatever movement or step come to you naturally, effortlessly.
Sensual body movement is a great way to release tension, stress, feel more connected to your body overall, and a fun activity to get some good exercise in. And it’s also a good way to keep in touch with the universe and better balance out your mind. For me, sensual body movement always makes me feel good about myself and seems like a real self-esteem booster especially in a cute outfit that’s stretchy and comfortable, I would feel myself tapping in to power I didn’t even realize I had. I’d say overall if you want to become closer with yourself, better understanding yourself and being one with your feminine side, sensual body movement is definitely the way to go.
