It can be hard to regain your passion once it’s gone. You might feel lost, confused, frustrated, or feel out of touch with what you lost but have no fears, it is possible to regain it back.
From past experiences of losing my passion, I’ve learned that a lot of the times it was due to burn out. I was working myself way to hard without me even realizing it and it showed through my work. I felt drained and the only thing I wanted to do most days was catch up on sleep or spend more time with the people I loved who I felt like got the least amount of time with me. It made me realize I wasn’t balancing my time out wisely and that I needed to put some things in order.
So with that, one of the best ways to regain your passion is to rest. Creativity and passion require flow and that comes naturally but it comes on its own. It requires you to rest and let go. Enjoy life, do things outside of your normal passions that make you happy, that would fill up your cup, and make you feel at peace. By doing these things you’ll start to feel more creative and it might even spark other interests you didn’t even know you had. Another great solution, is to watch other people that have the same passion as you do their work, not in a creepy way but as a student watching its teacher, this might spark your interest seeing someone else do something that you once took pride in and enjoyed.
Regardless what you choose, reigniting that flame into what you’re passionate about should never feel like a trivial thing. It should be easy and an enjoyable process. And I hope you find your process to be the same.
Stay Passionate!
