Our bodies are our most prized possessions. If we take care of it, it’ll take care of us right back. Heath can look different for and on others in various ways. How does heath look for you?
For me heath looks like watching what I eat, taking my vitamins, being mindful of the people I’m around and the situations I’m in, listening to music or thing that add to my life, and doing things that make happy and smile. These are all great ways of how I take care of myself on a daily basis, including doing my hair and my own nails, or a yoni steam. I wasn’t always great with my body, many years back I was rough with myself, always surrounded by people that didn’t have my best interests at heart, and wasn’t mindful of what I consumed whether it be food, music, or tv shows. It sent me into the hospital on and off for two years, just struggling mentally to the point I realized I couldn’t do things alone. I didn’t value me and I still struggle with that at times but I’m learning to do better.
Your health should be a top priority to you because when no one is by your side, you’ll realize you still have you to depend on and that’s priceless. Going for a walk, journaling, yoga, doing something you’re passionate about are all great ways of how you take care of yourself and make time for yourself. Your mind literally depends on it. When you aren’t stable, whether you believe it or not, it shows. It doesn’t just effect how you dress or what you consume, an unhealthy lifestyle can effect what you allow, essentially making life seem toxic when that’s not the case.
I do struggle finding the bright side to things too, but I know now and acknowledge that that’s a reflection of where I’ve been in the past but that’s not who I am and that’s not how life has to actually be. But I was unhealthy mentally and physically and my lifestyle showcased that. Now that I’m improving and getting better I smile at my small wins a little bit more and know that life is slowly getting better for me.
So with that I say, your mind and body is temple that needs to be cared for and cherished by you and it will cherish you back. Check in with yourself and find out what you need, reassure yourself, and know that you are loved. This is a great place to start in creating a healthier lifestyle for your mind and body to heal, be strong, healthy, and find peace.
