So about a week or so ago, I tried wood therapy for the first time. For those that don’t know, wood therapy, is a type of message for the body where you use wood tools that you roll across the body with a body or massage oil, and that breaks down body fat, can drain the lymphatic system, and contour the body. So far, from my own experience, I can say I really like and enjoyed wood therapy.
Using wood therapy for massages and lymphatic drainage felt like such a healing experience. I felt like I was finally giving my body the proper nourishment it needed. It was irritating for alittle bit as well, the kind of irritation and tingling feeling you get when you first start exercising or working out and blood is flowing through the body, that’s exactly how I felt. I was annoyed by it but loved it as the same time because it made me feel like I was actually doing something of significance to my body.
Wood therapy made me feel powerful like I was diving deep and taking control of my life. I will say the down side to wood therapy would be the soreness afterwards you feel and the following day and the tingling sensation while your actually using the tools, just because it makes you feel like your actually exercising, which isn’t a bad thing but I definitely wasn’t fond of that part.
Overall, if anyone is interested in a more holistic approach to lymphatic drainage, body sculpting, and a deep massage, I would definitely recommend giving this a try. And of course I am not a doctor, so definitely consult your doctor before hand. But if you can use it or feel comfortable doing so, leave a comment down below telling me what you think or what was your experience trying wood therapy like?
Happy Massaging!
