The Sensual Experience

Throughout history, gardening and farming were always seen as masculine things until modern times where women were allowed to help. But as I’m learning and as I’ve become a gardener myself and just taking care of plants in general, I noticed how much I’ve tapped into my own Feminity to nurture something outside of myself.

Growing plants from seeds is such a powerful move, because in a sense you’re creating life, similar to that of a woman being pregnant. You’re taking or given something so small and delicate and with proper nurturing, care, and love you get to watch and feel and see something miraculous happen. Life. Life in its simplest and purest form. As this new life forms , sprouts, changes, and expands, similar to that of a woman carrying a baby, it turns into something beautiful. This new found beauty will turn into something we can pour love and ourselves into knowing it will return that. There’s beauty in this.

Life is supposed to (because it doesn’t always) protect, guide, nurture, nourish, heal, and create a layer of abundance, whatever that abundance may be. This is similar to femininity in its essence in my opinion, guiding, healing, loving, nurturing, and protecting is new found creation until it can do those things on its own and continue to thrive and blossom.

With careful consideration, we never stop learning from what Earth has to teach us, because it’s in us, and it’s all around us. Gardening is just another layer to that aspect that can help us tap into who we are and better connect with our feminine side.

If this resonated with you on any level, let me know what you think with a comment.

Happy Gardening!
